Wait....I Have a life?

Y'all let me inform you of something, I have a life outside of college. I know that may be hard to believe but it is true (on occasion). Last week I was able to go with some friends to a Jazz game. In case you were wondering the Jazz are Utah's professional basketball team. Yeah it is basically also their only professional team since they don't have a baseball or football team ( it is amazing that they survive). I will also have you know that the Bulls are my team so I felt a little like a traitor, but in my defense they weren't playing the Bulls so its fine right?

And when you are a poor college student you sit in the second to last seat. Y'all have no idea what nosebleed section means until you are in the mountains of Utah at the very top of a tall building.

After the game we went to dinner and then my friend was able to take us to the top floor of the building he works at to get us the most beautiful view of the temple for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Have you ever seen a more beautiful building?
This night was so fun, really don't remember the last time I laughed so hard. And in case you were wondering how out of shape I am, my abs hurt from laughing so hard the next day.

Thanks Salt Lake City for the fun night, we need to see each other more often.

Insincerely Yours,
Heidi Jane

In Insincerely apologize for...

  • overusing the phrase "well that escalated quickly"
  • always sharing the new (and usually weird/disgusting) diseases with you that I have learned about in class.
  • being barefoot whenever possible
  • dancing while I cook.
  • being so uncordinated that I step will step on your feet if I am walking anywhere near you!

Feel free to share your insincere apologies!

Insincerely Yours,
Heidi Jane

To You:

To the guy who told me my hair looked nice when I was buying lunch, Thank You To the guy who literally ran so he could open the door for me, Thank you. To the girl who shared her umbrella with me when I was stranded, Thank You. To the TA who makes time on his day off to help me, Thank You.  To my brothers who will randomly invite me out to lunch just because they wants to see me, spend three hours trying to fix my internet, and go with me to sporting events, Thank you. To the girl who ran after me to give me back my water bottle, Thank you. To my parents who are always just willing to listen to me, whether laughing or ranting, Thank You.
Sometimes it is easy to get caught up in all the things that don't go right and forget about the things that do.  So today I want to remember the good people in the world, most likely you are one of them, Thank You.

Sincerely Yours,
Heidi Jane

Eavesdropping on Life: Wedding Frenzy

Tis the season? The season for marriage? YES. In case you aren't convinced...here are the conversations I heard (*cough eavesdropped on*) today alone.

Girl 1: but I don't know what to do because fondant tastes nasty but looks perfect

Girl 2: I can't have more bridesmades then groomsmen, but if I uninvite her she'll hate me. Right?   No, your supposed to say she will forgive me.

Girl 3: Would it be tacky to just skip the DJ and have an awesome playlist?

You guys...I couldn't make this stuff up. But fear not because while y'all are gettin engaged I am livin up the single life...

Carrots, bioinformatics, and a cellular biology test....sorry didn't mean to make you jealous. = )

Insincerely Yours,

To much? Probably....Do it anyway

So these days (as in for the last 6 months) I have kinda gone over the top with everything, especially clothes. So over Christmas break I decided I wanted to make myself a cute little hair bow to accessorize with ( thank you pinterest). Well of course nothing can be done in moderation in my life so here it is...the bow of all bows.

Yeah it takes up like half o' my head and makes me look like I am twelve...I'm over it.
Want one?  Well here are the very complicated and detailed instructions...

1. Pinterest hair bows patter
2. Times the pattern by a million.

Whew my first DIY instructions....t'was a struggle.

Insicerely Yours,
Heidi Jane
